The era of radio and telecommunication accelerated the process of globalization. A person can see each corner of the world without leaving home. Every day the world is getting closer to us. We are aware of all the events that take place thousands kilometers away from us. It is impossible to imagine our life without radio and television. It is like losing connection with the world out there.
XM Satellite Radio Inc. XM Radio was founded in 1992. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. due to its partnership the company is a leader in providing satellite-delivered data and entertainment services for the automobile market. The company operates over 170 digital channels of different kinds. XM Radio provides 69 commercial-free music channels, exclusive live concerts and original programming premier sports, talk, comedy, children’s and entertainment programming; and 21 channels of the most advanced traffic and weather information.
Problems? What problems may arise concerning radio broadcasting? They are not many but still are worth consideration. The company does not enjoy positive reputation among numerous consumers. They claim that all the promises are not fulfilled. The sound quality is awful and the customer service seems to be even worse. People make down payments for the broadcasting services and then start receiving additional bills. It is no wonder that customers are not satisfied with the company. People receive a package of XM Radioservices as presents, do not sign any agreements with the company and then are charged and fined for what they thought was free. And one more thing that irritates the subscribers – the channels they pay for do not provide the programs they are supposed to. Recently such change, for example, took place on one of their music channels. People do not want to pay for those programs which they can get for free from other radio broadcasters.

According to official apple site, First iPod was sold five and half year ago in November 2001. Till now we have five generation of iPods so it is very difficult to decide that which one is the best. According to report which was published on April 9, 2007, Apple has sold 10 millionth iPod till date. iPods are so popular that almost 70 % of automobiles in US are now providing iPod connectivity.

European sales are increased by 47 % from $847 million to $1,242 million in a year. American sales are increased by 65 % from $1,637million to $2,700million so figures show that Americans own more iPods as compared to Europeans.

If we take a look on latest technology then “Apple 60 GB iPod with Video Playback” is on the top. It has 60 gigs of storage which can store up to 15,000 songs, 20,000 photos, or 150 hours of video playback. It has 2.5 “color display which is larger and easy to read.

If we look at design and specs then all 5th generation iPods are almost same. 30GB iPod measures 4.1 by 2.4 by 0.43 inches and weighs 4.8 ounces. 80GB video iPod measures 4.1 by 2.4 by 0.55 inches and weighs 5.5. Difference between both is minute.

If you want to carry music as much as possible then your choice should be an iPod with storage of 30 to 80 gigs which can contain 7500 to 20,000 songs respectively.
If you are looking for something very slim and light then iPod nano is the best choice as it weighs only 1.14 ounce. iPod nano or shuffle is best to use during jogging or exercise because they have flash memories. Flash memories don’t skip like high storage drives.
